DeLoraen Time Circuit
DeLoraen Time Circuit is an application that emulates the Time Circuit Panel found in the iconic DeLorean Time Machine from the movie "Back To The Future". This functional timer device displays the current system time of your iPhone or iPod as the "Present Time", making it a stylish digital clock for your car. The "Last Time Departed" feature shows the time when you last started the application. Additionally, the "Destination Time" feature allows you to set a specific time for the application to give an electronic alarm sound.
For iPhone users, there is an option to enable the "88MPH Time Travel Simulation". This feature utilizes the built-in GPS to check your current speed. When your speed reaches 88 MPH, the application plays sounds and switches the "Present Time" to your desired "Destination Time", giving the illusion of time travel. It is important to note that driving at 88 MPH is illegal on most public roads, so caution should be exercised when using this feature. Please ensure you are driving in a safe and legal manner. This feature may not work well on iPods and non-3G iPads as it requires a real hardware GPS chip.
The "Time Distance" screen provides information on the number of seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks between the "Present Time" and the "Destination Time". This screen can be accessed by tapping the "DIST" label.
Changing the "Destination Time" is easy, simply tap slightly above or below the digits on the screen. A keypad is also available to enter the desired time, with options for setting AM/PM.
The developer, Vitalijs Lennojs, appreciates user suggestions for additional functionality and there is a possibility that these suggestions will be implemented in future releases. Users can forward their requests to the email address.
